- Coach/Athlete: If you are an athlete or a coach who has been sent to Canada to perform, you do not need a work permit. However, you must be able to provide proof of your athlete or coach status.
- Clergy: If you hold a religious title such as pastor or imam, you are allowed to work in Canada without a work permit.
- Emergency Service Providers: If you are invited by the Canadian government or sent by your country to perform emergency services in Canada, you do not need a work permit.
- Examiners/Evaluators: Professors who are invited to supervise professional exams in Canada, as well as evaluators who need to carry out evaluations in the country, can work without a work permit.
- Performing Artists: Foreign artists who need to perform in Canada for a short period of time do not require a work permit.
- Convention Organizers: Event organizers who have an event to organize in Canada are exempt from needing a work permit. However, they can only perform their tasks as event organizers and not engage in any other type of work.
- News Reporters: Reporters who are sent by their country to cover news in Canada do not need a work permit.
- Military Personnel: Military personnel who want to work in defense for Canada do not require a work permit. Additionally, their family members have the privilege to immigrate with them to Canada once they have been accepted.
It is important to note that while these occupations do not require a work permit, there may still be certain requirements and criteria that need to be met in order to work legally in Canada.
