This role is temporary and on an On-Call basis, with three available vacancies. This means you will be called in for work when there’s a need. You should be flexible to work on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.

Responsibilities of a Weekend Parcel Delivery Relief:
- Sorting and preparing daily deliveries at the depot
- Loading and driving a Canada Post postal vehicle
- Delivering packages to customers on your route via vehicle
- Operating portable communication devices, such as two-way radios or texting devices
- Representing Canada Post professionally
- Safeguarding mail items and Canada Post property
- Effective communication with customers and the general public
- Safe operation of a vehicle when required
- Maintaining a responsible driving record and the required provincial driver’s license class
- Handling mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50 pounds) and carrying items weighing up to 15.9 kilograms (35 pounds)
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions like snow, rain, hail, and icy conditions
Qualifications required:
- Proficiency in the English language
- Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a safe driving record for at least 3 years
- Customer service experience is an asset
- Previous delivery or driving experience is advantageous
- Successful completion of a pre-employment test, an interview, a Pre-Employment Physical assessment, and a step van driving test
- Availability to work on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, including statutory holidays
- Completion of a mandatory 2-week training program from Monday to Friday
- Residing within a 50 km radius of the work location is preferred
