As a temporary, on-call delivery agent, also known as a letter carrier, you will proudly represent Canada Post in your community, ensuring that customers and businesses receive their mail and parcels promptly.

Responsibilities of a Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent:
- Your day begins at the depot, where you’ll sort and prepare deliveries.
- Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
- Spend most of your day outdoors, delivering mail and packages by foot and vehicle on your designated route.
- Return to the depot to unload incoming mail and packages for the next set of deliveries.
Qualifications for a Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent:
- Possess a valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a safe driving record (a minimum of 3 years with a driver’s abstract required).
- Physical strength to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) daily.
- Adaptability to work in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility for on-call assignments.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English and/or French.
- A background in customer service.
- Prior experience with deliveries or as a driver.
