Work Setting
- Home care and visiting care agency

Responsibilities
- Supply and empty bed pans
- Monitor patients’ vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse)
- Serve meals and assist patients with eating
- Assist with patient positioning and mobility
- Transport items and messages between departments
- Maintain patient rooms and assist with personal care
- Supervise exercise routines
- Administer medical procedures and maintain equipment
- Transport patients within care facilities
- Respond to call signals and collect specimens
- Prepare patients for surgery and accompany them on recreational activities
- Administer first aid in emergencies
Credentials
- Required Certificates: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate
- Security and safety checks: Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, Adult Abuse Registry check
- Own transportation required
